Sunday finds!

Last Sunday we suggested first impressions count and your front door key to forming that impression. Today we will tell you about the role colour plays and how it is your opportunity to showcase your personality.

Did you know research by Dulux Weathershield has revealed Brits make an assumption about a person in less than 10 seconds after seeing the colour of their front door.

Although true, not everyone is aware of the meaning of colours or what emotions they bring. But here we will try and show you what these colours mean.

Also these emotions can be altered significantly through saturation, or depth of colour. There are basic principles worth considering when deciding on the colour of your front door.

Red is associated with energy, power and passion. London was identified as the most passionate region having the most red doors. It also says your home is always open for visitors.

Pink is fun, lively and feminine. These coloured doors are believed to be inhabited by the most outgoing and mischievous.

Orange stimulates creativity, encouragement and is invigorating. You are spontaneous, not afraid of taking risks and reliable.

Yellow is the colour of sunshine and is associated with joy, happiness and intellect. Yellow front doors are thought of as the happiest and are owned by the most welcoming hosts.

Blue represents the sky and water. It is associated with wisdom, confidence and calmness. As an example Navy blue is considered to be the colour chosen by those who are the most intelligent.

Next week we will tell you more about other colours and their meaning. You will then be able to decide the best colour to help your buyer fall in love with your property as soon as he / she sees it.
