Many cities have used Urban Art to transform local communities and bring colour to otherwise drab vistas.  Bees Homes asked why shouldn’t Eastbourne consider this as well?

For the past 12 months we have been working on this with key stakeholders including our MP, Chair of Eastbourne Borough Council, Director of Towner Gallery, The Mayor, Sussex Police, Schools representatives and Chamber of Commerce.

On December 6th, a good crowd including many of Eastbourne’s “great & good” assembled at the Crown & Anchor in Seaside to discuss the idea of introducing Urban Art into Seaside as a way of building on recent regeneration efforts.

The evening was informal (a knowledge cafe format) wherein Keith Ridley  and our own Finance Partner Paul shared research Bees Homes has done in conjunction with Municipalities in Lisbon, Portugal and Stockholm, Sweden.

Watch this space over the coming months as we implement some of the many ideas  generated at the evening hosted by The Devonshire Collective.
